Past Projects
Students can and have made real impact on our MIT experiences. From the Fall grading policy to dorm policies, students have brought upon real change. Check out a few of our favorite UA projects and initiatives this year that have helped define our MIT Fall experiences.
Pods
Pilot
Over the summer, innovative student ideas like the Summer Pods Pilot opened the door for allowing group socialization in dorms for the Fall. We look forward to encouraging the exploration of more ideas to improve campus and are excited to work with MIT administrators to turn those ideas into reality.
Improving Dining
The UA sourced feedback on dining to share with admin and use to advocate for better dining practices. Through this and other advocacy, grab and go snacks in the lobby of dorms were implemented in addition to dining hall improvements.
guest policies
UA Committee on COVID-19 proposed policies to DSL on how to handle student guest policies in dorms in a way that maintains public health and student autonomy.
Q-Week challenge
In an effort to maintain community during the mandatory quarantine period at the beginning of the semester, the UA hosted Q-Week. Team competed with each other for prizes by taking part in virtual events throughout the week.
